Best way of getting internet without ethernet cable

The ethernet port is too far away from my new desktop that doesn't have a network card.

What would my best alternative be?
Currently, on my laptop I get 47.47mbps DL speed and 26.51 upload.

Given these speeds, what would be a good non costly option? The router is about 5m away directly, but there's a wall in the way.

Is there anything cheaper than the one that was posted?

And how does the adapter compare to something like an usb network stick, or dongle, price and power wise?

That was an example. You can use the "AV2" keyword to search for whatever is on sale.

A USB adapter is just a cheap, low performance WIFI device. It will usually perform like WIFI (inconsistently).

What makes the Ethernet adapter powerline perform more consistently?
