So I've finally got 80K, and I want a butt kicking pc with massive power.
NOTE: It should be able to play The Witcher 3 @ 500fps 5K...
So please share what you've got.

DeadPC

Nothing will run at 500 fps. If that is US dollars, get a good PC for under $4,000 and bring it with you on a cruise around the world for that money. If you insist on spending as much as possible, Falcon Northwest and Digital Storm make some pretty hefty systems in the $8,000 range. With no endorsement, see this example: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2458105,00.asp

I'm tired, so I can't do the usual moderator decision as to whether you are serious or trolling to see how people respond. I must say that this smells like trolling. If you meant another currency, please make this clear.

EDIT: With SSDs, that could be a nice storage solution.

I hope you mean $8k and not $80k. Even $8k would get you the most ridiculous PC ever - like quad Titan X graphics cards, but $80k isn't even possible to spend on one computer unless you get maybe custom 24k gold components or something.

I mentioned the $ in the topic name.

No, I seriously mean $80K.

Indeed, they are storage servers. Just poking ya with nonsense since you question seemed to be nonsense.

I still highly doubt you have 80k to throw away for a stand alone computer. Even if you built a full simulation cockpit for whatever videogame you desired. You still would have enough left over to build a pool house with a 20x30 pool.

So I still highly recommend 80k in Storage servers. I promise you golden ducks will pop out of each drive everyday and lay one golden turd each and every day. The thing will pay for itself 😛

This is a build for you :

Why did I pick this monitor ?
This isn't the best monitor in terms of ergonomic adjustments but I went with it because it is 21:9 screen
Watch this video to know the major difference between 16:9 monitors and 21:9 monitors
This monitor is 3440x1440 resolution
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCqHmQas3_Q
However it is limited to 75hz frame rate (you can go higher but you will not see difference after 75 fps) so you better limit the GPU to 75hz so you can enjoy freesync (30-75 fps in this monitor)
If you are still interested in 16:9 monitors , asus has a great monitor MG279Q it can go into 144hz in 2560 x 144 with freesync running up to 90 fps
-----------
Why did I go with fury x instead of 980 ti or a titan ?
You say you need VR , you can't run VR on nvidia(it will run slow and won't give you playable performance) so you will go with amd
In dx11 games fury x generally get a little fewer FPS than 980 ti , but that should change rapidly in dx 12 games
The bad thing is fury x is really hard to be found in stock you will need to pre-order or look for it in local stores if available
You can get 2 fury x right now and wait for the fury x 2 coming in the next 3 months so you have 4 crossfire GPUs
You can crossfire any fury x brand .
-----------
Why expensive processor ?
You said you need to run other stuff like simulation/rendering , maybe playing games while streaming videos to other devices in the house ; This processor is able to do all of these things thanks to it's many strong cores .
---------
About FPS :
The maximum refresh rate in the market right now are 144hz monitors , even if a game makes higher fps than 144 you will still see 144 fps because that's what your monitor max out in .

Turd is soft unlike gold, you should have said eggs instead.
I think I'll buy the titanus X550http://It costs 35K maxed out with titans and a 2000W power supply and it also comes with two 18 core Xeons(Thats 36 cores/72 threads/130 Ghz total speed)
And I think I also got the solution for the frame rate, I just found this http://So with a couple of these and 64 titan X video cards, I think I'll get 5000fps in the Witcher Wild Hunt @ 8K resolution.
What do you think?

Bit of bad news for you deadpc, you can contact nasa if you want or whoever for a pc and even spend millions but most the low frame rates in games come from the coding of the game and limitations of dx, ie you'll get to a point of 'x' fps then throwing more hw at the problem will just result in the same 'x' fps but with lower utilization of the hw! That is why imo the new apis like vulkan and dx12 are so important to us gamers.

Obviously, the OP is a troll -- just ignore this thread. The idea of spending $80,000 USD for a computer for the average person is about as cogent as the idea of having a toilet made of solid gold (24K, of course... it doesn't matter if the gold is soft, especially considering that the florid effulgent spring of fecal matter which rains from above is great for the décor).

How about I throw in my computer and you can buy TWO for the price of ONE! not sure about this doll though... 😵

It does seem like a troll thread - what monitor do you plan on getting that will be able to refresh successfully at 500FPS? Unless you're planning on bank-rolling the start-up for R&D for such a monitor maybe? In which case - you've got WAY TOO LITTLE money in the bank for that. Best you get yourself a store-bought PC with on-die GPU instead and leave this forum to the people who want some real help.
