Whats the best way to clean monitor?

Ive been using water on like a cutton wall thing and just been using that then using a cloth (cloth gets washed all the time) to dry the wet and seems pretty good.

I am sure though your not surpose to use water but what else can you use? what products are good preferible from www.pcworld.co.uk

For glass screen monitor I use glass cleaner I use for my car as well, when sprayed it foamed.

But for monitor that uses plastic cover Water is the best. No abrasion.

Wipe with wet cloth but not runny just to leave small streak on the screen rub it with damp cloth to clean the spots, and use dry none flint (like chamois) material to finish.

Screen Wipes sold at any Office Max / Staples whatever. Basically like "Baby wipes" but instead of being infused with Lanolin , the sceen wipes are infused with isop.alcohol .

Home made version with paper towel and a couple of dabs of isop. alcohol works too.

Um paper towel? Wouldn't that scratch the screen? The professionals said no kleenex or paper towel..

They said alcohol could also damage the screen. Even tap water could damage it. They said to use distilled/deionized water.

There are a lot of ways which can help you out to clean monitor screen. I have tried some of them. Alcohol can be use but be careful it can damage plastic. You can use screen cleaning products as well.

I think the best, cheapest and easiest way is to get a wet cloth, wipe all the dust and then use dry cloth to get the water away. It works pretty good on my monitor, which is a LG Flatron E2242-plastic screen.
