Hello,

I just finished assembling my new PC, now I'm wondering what's the best way to connect it to a TV for video and the home teather for audio.
My TV supports ARC, but althought it's a HDMI 2.1 it doesn't allow all lossless audio encoding to be passed to the home theater, so I used a display port to connect the PC to the home theater directly but this implies the fact the PC has to manage a second desktop, cause it seems there is no way to use such second video output as audio only.

Is there a way to hide the second desktop? Or a better way to achieve what I'd need?

Thank you!

Solution
hi, for home theater purpose u have it wired correctly, for second display issue, use "duplicate display" option (win+P -> duplicate)
and also disable display sleep mode for your 2nd video ouput (home theater)
