I am currently running a i7-7700k build but am upgrading to an all new setup. New MB, CPU, RAM etc etc.

I'd like to be able to copy everything off my C drive, also my Windows/boot, which is a 512GB SSD and put it on my new 2TB M.2 drive. I'm trying to avoid having to do a reinstall of windows and reinstalling all my programs. It would literally take days to set everything back up and I use my computer to work from how so that's not really an option.

What's the best way to accomplish this?

Thank you in advance.

There is no certain way to do what you want.
But, if your current ssd will boot on the new equipment you can do what you want.
First, protect what you have on your current ssd in some manner.
If you don't you risk losing it if something should go wrong.
Here is a link on how to prepare for a motherboard change:

You should also verify that your windows has a digital license registered to you.

On your new equipment, see if you can boot from your current ssd.
If successful, install the motherboard drivers because they will be different.
Then install a samsung 2tb m.2 ssd.
Install the samsung pcie driver which can be downloaded here...

You should also download the ssd migration app and the instruction manual.
Tun the ssd migration app which will copy your C drive to the m.2 device.
Remove the ssd and boot to the new drive.

I was in a similar situation and did this with good results.

In the unfortunate situation that you can not boot from your old ssd, there is no alternative that I can think of except a new clean install,

Thank you both for your help. I ended up using Laplink PCMover Pro and other than it corrupting my Nvidia drivers which caused a series of BSODs when I installed my anti virus, it worked flawlessly.
