Best way to power cards in SLI

I'm trying to decide which is the best way to power my GTX 970's in SLI. Is it better to have the 6 and 8 pin connector coming off the same cable to the same card or does it matter? Right now I'm using the 6 pin from one cable powering both cards and the same for the 8 pin. I apologize if I'm confusing but please look at the pic blow it might help explain.

My current specs are listed in my sig below and please excuse the mess I'm still working on cleaning cables up.

Solution
It doesn't really mater how the cables are attached. However you may want to start looking into a new PSU. Under the load that system is going to pull the caps in the CX probably aren't going to last long.
Thanks for the reply and yes a new PSU is on my to do list but not a major issue at this time since my peak power draw is about 530w. I'm not overclocking the GPU's so I should be fine for the time being but it will get replaced eventually.
