Best way to Remove heatsink?

OK, so i want to reapply my thermal paste but I really dont want to damage the CPU because with my 8120 i had to slide teh cpu off and there has to be a simpler more safe way to do this... any ideas?

Isopropyl alcohol (at least 70% but 91%+ is best) and be careful not to leave fibres or anything like that

well i mean like get it off the heatsink... literally pull it off

You just unclamp the heatsink/fan from the MB and gently remove it from the cpu with the cpu still affixed to the MB. AFAIK.

turn ur pc on and warm it up abit... run a stress test like prime 95 then shut it down and the thermal compound will be lossened and easier to remove. just twist and keep applying a little pulling pressure, dont worry you wont yank out the cpu unless you try to go hulk
