Best way to stream movies from PC to TV

Hey,

I used to stream with Chromecast from my PC to my TV. Im watching movies with VLC but for some reason, my Chromecast device is not working anymore. Tried everything and gave up.

So, what's the best device to buy to stream and watch my movies that I have on my PC, to the TV?

I use a Firestick 4k (for 2 different TVs) with the PLEX app on them and use PLEX Media Server on my PC.
This setup works very well for me.

i use an Apple TV and stream from my online OneDrive video folder (all of my stuff) and also from all my posted stuff on YT (stuff that is allowed). hosting video is for the birds. Let someone else do it.

could do same with roku, but then i don't have access to all my purchased iTunes movies and music so I use Apple

Is there a specific reason that you can't use an HDMI cable and a wireless keyboard/mouse setup?

Use an HDMI cable, and if you have a Mac as I do, you'll need an adapter as well

if you have a console like ps4, u can use the universal media player installed on both ps4 and pc.

With that you can browse the pc media folders like a NAS and play the media.
