Question Best way to upgrade my computer w/o having to replace every part

Cpu: Intel i5-3450

Ram: 16GB corsair

Gpu: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

Psu: Bequiet 500W

I'd really appreciate any help that keeps in mind im a bit broke... also bad at computers ;(

Eh budget around 500 dollars ish
got a small ssd for windows and stuff and a 1tb hdd
Just feel it slowing down a bit after a few years of use, wish to play games at a bit better frame rates and such, cant really play the new stuff on anything higher than low/medium.
