best windows for the pc

hi, now i have a gtx 1050 ti and i5 6500 with 16gb ddr4 2133 mhz, in 2018 and for nextyears, which better to use for gaming and general tasks, windows 7 or windows 8.1 or windows 10

hi, now i have windows7, because windows 10 need more ram ( beacuse it has cortana windows store,micrsoft edge,etc..). i think to move to windows 10 , but im afraird that using more ram in windows 10 can has a negative effect on my gaming performance, and gaming performance on the pc is important to me.

so what you recommend for better gaming performance, still with windows 7 or move to windows 10??

i5 6500, 16 gb ram ddr4 2133mhz, gtx 1050ti 500gb hard drive

Windows 10 is not going to affect anything on a system running with 16GB of RAM installed.

16gb is more than enough for windows and really any game. From benchmarks I have seen win 10 does perform slightly better than win 7 in most games, it also has dx12 support, win 7 does not. For that reason alone I wouldn't consider win 7 for gaming anymore personally.

I think they about the same now when it comes to gaming, Win 10 has advantage of getting DX12 which Win 7 is not going to get, so one day you might need to upgrade anyway - it depends on what games you play. IN same way, there are games that won't run on win 10 as they are really old and need the XP compatibility modes to run them.
