Hello there,
So recently the left ear of my headset has stopped working. I have been living with it but decided it want to get a new pair. I was wondering if anyone knew of a wireless headset which would work with an Xbox One and a PC without changing the cables around?!
Many Thanks!

Solution
You should check but I don't think the A50 fully supports wireless, I think it needs a cable and adapter to the controller for the microphone to work. In was looking at these a while back and how I ended up looking at the A40TR's
Astro A40 TR is the only true wireless I know of but there should be more. They work with both the One and PC but the mix Amp needs to be connected so I expect you would need a second mix amp to go from one to the other without changing wire, same will be true of any wireless headset as you need to move the transmitters wires.

Another option is get a new One controller with the 3.5mm socket built in. Then just use any headset compatible with 3.5mm, you will need an adapter for the PC if you get a headset with a mic

Well, the best solution is to find the nearest trash bin and chuck your Xbox One into it in (Sorry, just for giggles). According to here you can only connect a headset through the port on the controller ( http://support.xbox.com/he-IL/xbox-one/accessories/connect-compatible-headset ) And most Headsets sound awful not to mention wireless Headsets, Your best bet might be to get two Headphones and use the Kinect as a Mic or something, the Xbox One isn't flexible sadly.

(http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/xbox-one-headsets/ear-force-stealth-420x/790) Only one I could find and Turtle Beach is a really worthless brand, and you still have to move the receiver. It's sad that even my toaster supports Bluetooth headsets but a "cutting edge" console can't, sorry bro.

Sorry I can't help more, the only thing I have that's similar is a Wii U and I don't know much about wireless headsets, but maybe using a wireless headset at your desk and plugging it into the controller isn't so bad.

My only thought is how close are your PC and One? That will determine how practical a slitter is. Not having used an optical splitter I don't know how good they are. Astro's online support are quite good, I'd drop them the question and see what options they come up with.

FYI I use a Bose stereo headset with my One connected to an Elite controller and the sound is excellent

Not sure of the best, but I suggest AVOIDING the Corsaird Void 7.1 Wireless headset.
I have one, and it's an absolute nightmare to set up. It frequently loses connection and has grainy static sound even when I'm sitting right next to my PC. It's been a megawaste of $140 CAD.
