Hi,

I would like advice on what the best computer would be for my needs, and that's running 6 x 4K screens and sometimes (during big movements in the markets) there's like a hundred charts having to do calculations at the same time etc.

Budget: can even go for 5-figures, as top performance would save me a lot more.

I have some experience building systems myself in the past, but have been totally out of the loop for several years now, so treat me as a complete clueless newb, please. :)

Regards,
Damien

Don't think trading software are CPU/GPU intensive. Your main concern should be running 6 monitors. Consumers NVidia GPUs are limited to 3 displays and datacenter GPUs are limited to 4 displays. I'm not entirely sure if two NVidia GPUs can support more than 3 displays. Running lots of displays isn't that demanding it's just software locked. You might have to go AMD and get something like this https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-RXVEGA56GAMING-OC-8GD#kf

It looks like it is quite intensive. I'm currently on i7-8809G, 32GB ... And when markets really start to move, everything starts to freeze.

I also don't think it's the screens, it's not that super difficult for even an average card to run 3 x 4K, and 6 might be possible with some Quadro ones. In the past Nvidia Quadro cards seemed to be specifically made for that. So it's not so much GPU issue, more other components I don't know.

Should I get as many cores as possible?

I can't really recommend because I really just don't know how to support six monitors.

Would you be open to 3 ultrawide monitors that would have the same screen realestate?
Resolution isn't appropriate, those ultrawide monitors don't really have much higher resolution, I honestly want 6 x 3840x2160.

I repeat again, I really want the best that's possible to get. It can simply cost me way too much if something goes wrong. The cost of the computer is negligible compared to it.

I'm more wondering which would be more appropriate from the following:
A) AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX
B) Intel Xeon Platinum 8380 @ 2.30GHz
C) One of the AMD EPYCs.

But I have no idea what would be more appropriate. Maybe Xeon more appropriate than the Threadripper?

The graphics card has 4 displayport 1.4 thats the most avaliable on one card now. You can get splitters or run monitors off the integrated video of the CPU

You should probably choose a case you like. I happen to like Fractal Design cases.
