I want to connect 5 HDDs, 1 optical drive and an M2 NVMe drive to my new Z370 build.
It seems that many of the Z370 motherboard disable SATA slots when you connect M2 drives, even in PCIe mode.
My motherboard of choice so far is the ASRock Z370 Extreme 4. This does have the disabling problem, but as it starts with 8 SATA ports, I believe that still leaves me with enough at 1 M2 and 6 SATA at the same time?
Assuming that the case, any issues with the two SATA ports supplied outside of the Z370 chipset? I remember issues with that type of thing in the past, but it was a long time ago.
Thanks!
