Hey guys,

i'm looking for a new gaming mobo for my new build

i was considering maximus x code then i started to look for xi hero call of duty edition but im still confused

what would be the best choice in terms of performance , look , audio and durability and value for money

i like that asus motherboards have DAC and nice look and quality build but is there better options with same specifications

thank you in advance

The Aorus Master has been reviewed as the best motherboard on the Z390 bar the very high end $500 motherboards. It quiet simply has everything including the best VRM and cooling...

The BIOS on Gigabyte have improved but are still not up there with ASUS, MSI or ASRock though if you really are not going to overclock it is more than good enough and even if you do overclock, it won't really be that hard, though I have to admit, ASUS just do...
just stating im not going to over clock or something i want motherboard that offer great gaming feature with good look and durability

what other options do i have i don't like the asrock for some reason 😀

You cannot go wrong with any of the Gigabyte Z390 versions as they have all been highly rated. From the most cost effective in the Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X:

To the great mid range in the Aorus Pro and Elite:

The top end are also great but then price comes into it...The boards have been reviewd by Hardware Unboxed and Buildzoid over at GamersNexus and are great across the board for features and for the way the have been made with a very good VRM and cooling setup...even though you are not going to overclock..Worth a look at this Z390 revue roundup to give you some more ideas and options..

how about aorus master is it better than the xi hero or the x code motherboards ?

gigabyte has reputation with horrible boise and rgb software

another question if i have Asus auro compatible hardware and gigabyte mobo can the asus aura still detect these parts memories fans etc ?

The Gigabyte also has a great sound setup with latest 1220 just like ASUS and some extras like:

125dB SNR AMP-UP Audio with ALC1220 & High-End ESS SABRE 9118 DAC with WIMA audio capacitors

As to the Aura compatibility, so long as it is straightforward RGB or ARBG, it has both connections and control...

I have the Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 7 and yes the Aorus RGB Fusion APP is simply horrible but I do not use the APP and control RGB from the BIOS which is much easier and better than installing the RGB Fusion APP. From the BIOS control works perfectly but it is not as user friendly as control from Windows..

Personally, I think you will not have any issues with the ASUS Maximus either, even though the VRM is only a 4 phase doubled, it can still handle the 9700 and 9900K...
