Motherboard will automatically unlock cores if possible. Mine got 3 from the Phenom II X2 555. Stock cooler is sufficient for 3 active cores.

Graphics sufficient to run Windows Aero.

4GB RAM is for 32-bit OS for office environment. Double it for 64-bit OS although this won't do a typical office user much good.
 
I'm very surprised how you guys have handled this so far. I've built several of these this year and used a quad core in each case.... but then I used some combo deals and such.

Office users have a tendency to load up their comps with foistware (google it) and do a lot of multi-tasking.
