Wow, I don't really care for any of them. I guess the closest I'd go for would be THX's but with a X4 in it instead with all the layers of security and "management" that enterprises run.

THX I liked your build until I clicked on the hard drive and noticed it is a "deactivated" item which can no longer be purchased. Cant recommend a machine its not possible to build.

This is the first time I've actually felt like every build is perfectly reasonable for the price range and use. I love the $325 build that pretty much does everything a moderate office PC needs.

@cknobman--People put these together two months ago. Just swap in a different hard drive and give them credit.

THX's build seems to make the most sense for a "Budget" Office PC.

Pros for me are:
* RAM
* HD
* PSU
* Possibly the case (not my type, but that is just me).
* DVD Burner

Cons:
* Not liking the reviews of the Mobo and it's getting quite old too.
* CPU is fine, but I think a Athlon II x3 would be a better purchase, since there could be multiple things going on and the x3 might just be a bitter better at multi-tasking.
* I guess I should have entered a build in this category :)

Voting for THX's build, since it's in a good budget for this type of system and has the best PSU of the bunch listed. The BP430 is a good PSU, but the 380w one in THX's build would be a better fit for the power requirements of these builds (efficiency speaking). But......the Llano build is quite temping too, so it's hard to pick.

Yeah I'm not going to be putting any APEX PSU into a working environment. I don't want to be resposible in covering all of the possible "Tech" calls from marginal PSU's. I would rather have a better PSU to power this than skimp on the PSU.

I'm just saying.

Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster...

I'm looking to replace an old Compaq from around 2001. So far, the Llano build has my attention. It won't be used for games at all, but will be used for transcoding, video editing, serving up video content on my home network, probably iTunes, and typical office stuff.

Does that motherboard support dual monitors, and if not, what kind of card should I get for that? How is sound delivered?

I have been out of PC technology since my last build in 2001, so please excuse my ignorance! Thanks.
