Beta testers wanted for graphical game

Hi, all.

I'm working on an adventure game of the visual kind. Without a
parser. Point and click in the LucasArts tradition. Yes, I am aware
that the primary focus here is on text games, and that some of you
(perhaps even most of you?) won't consider my game to be IF. I am
also aware of the places more aimed at my kind of game (I even run
one of the sites) but I'd really like to get one or two r*if testers.

I already have some beta testers for it (though at the time I'm
writing this, I've only showed it to one tester outside my family yet
- his initial comments were positive, which gave me the courage to
post here).

It's not a finished game yet, but the first part of three is almost
completed, so I figured it's a good time to start letting testers
loose on it. There is enough game to have something to test, but
there is still much to be done and the input I get on this first part
will affect how the rest turn out. (I am of course also prepared to
re-do the work I have done if that should be needed.) I am wanting
input on all parts of the game, from the puzzles and the plot to the
music. I recall the discussion here a while ago when someone was
disappointed with his tester beacuse the tester did more than simply
find bugs. That's the kind of tester I'm looking for.

One more thing to apologise about: It's not cross platform. The game
engine is Windows only, but has been reported to run well under Wine
in Linux.

Please send any replies by mail.

Rikard

(Rikcard will likely never see this, since he requested email replies
instead of posts, but I never got my email account set up correctly to
send stuff, so here goes anyway.)

That was probably me. ;-)

I will say that the first sentence is a red-flag to me. Not that I have
a lot of product, but I'll not release a game for beta testing untill I
can't think of any more additions to be made. Other's may differ, but I
don't want to see any (literal or intent) "still under construction"
messages as I play.

Yes, I read both groups and have done so for quite a while now. I
requested replies by e-mail beacuse that's what the FAQ says I should
do.

The first part is complete, except for the final puzzle and that will
be done before I send it to any more testers. The three parts are
isolated both geographically and in time. There are no "under
construction messages" along the line.
