I've installed the game but every time I try to run it, I
get the message that my computer doesn't have enough
memory. This is a DOS game made back in '93. The total
instilation is only 35 megs, and I have 384 Megs ram on
my computer running Windows 200, does anyone know a way
to make this program work correctly?

If you have windows xp, right click it, go to
compatability, and run it in diferrent compatability
modes, that might work.

not 2000, and no I don't have a copy of XP to install on
my computer to bypass the problem I'm having.

Tough 1... try going into dos mode and then installing it
from there (dos mode as in restart in dos mode) and run

Hi,

Couple of observations: ;-)

1. In the original post you said you had Windows 200 <
2. If you update to SP4 it includes compatibility like XP's

To throw in my tuppence'-worth:

1) So, he made made a typo...BFHD. When you saw "Win200" did *you* think he
had XP?? .

2) To expand on this: you'll need W2k patched to SP2 or above. But I believe
there is more to do - you also need to *enable* compatibility mode. To do
this, click on Start then Run and in the box type:

regsvr32 %systemroot%\apppatch\slayerui.dll

and press Enter.

Then check out the properties tab of a shortcut to the game.

You might want to check out the more specialised newsgroup
"microsoft.public.win2000.games" for more info on this - it's cropping up
all the time.
