So I think I'll go with this build (wrong ram in it), how do you feel about it ? Would change to a GTX be better ? I take advice as long as the price is the same

Solution
ah..i5 4460? a locked i5.
You do not need Z97 for a locked i5, a simple H97 or B85 should be enough.
But, if you can get that Z97 with special price, why not? :)

16GB RAM? 8GB is recommended, 16GB is a "nice to have" for today.

R9 380 is quite a nice pick.

No SSD? SSD is a very nice addition. Not a must but a very nice addition. You will not want to get any rig without SSD after you used one. :)

That PSU is not exactly good, I would recommend something else from XFX, Seasonic, Rosewill, etc.
I mean that PSU line from Corsair is not that good. XFX XXX 550W is nice and should not expensive.

Did you try to rebuild my rig? I built that rig in October 2014.
E3-1231V3, ASUS Z97 Mark 2, Shadow Rock Slim, Fractal Design R4, Crucial Ballistix 16GB DDR3 1600, Galax/KFA2 GTX970 EXOC and 500GB Samsung 840 EVO?
I think, you do try to rebuild my rig but for that you need a PSU too, I saw no PSU in your link.
Get XFX XXX pro 750W along with LG blue-ray burner and your rig would be almost 100% the same to mine.
LoL
Wait a minute...so much coincidence is even possible?
Who are you? Where are you? Did you spy on me?

Ok, I will get a wee bit serious and back to the topic.

Skylake i5 6600k build eh? hmmm...is this the correct build you want?
Skylake i5 6600k is only around 5% faster than Haswell i5 4690k.
Here, where I live, Hasswell is the better price/performance.
Skylake however supports DDR4, which is more future proof, regardless that DDR4 and DDR3 are not that different in performance. The performance different is mainly only caused by the processor.
The performance difference of you get on Skylake+DDR4 is extremely minimal, if you are using the rig mainly for games.
