Better deal? I3 or FX

So what would be a better deal a i3 3220 or the fx 4130 I'm building a system purely for gaming and have all the other components already which is 8gb ram and the gtx 960 dont worry both cpus already comes with motherboards. Btw both cpus are priced the same so which would be a better gaming buy.

I'd say the i3 and pair it with DDR3-1600MHz ram. Might I ask what motherboard you're going to get for each platform? What of the rest - PSU, case and SSD/HDD?

Depends on what motherboard models are coming with them imo.

Fairly evenly matched , there are some newer titles where that fx will perform better.

Yeah it doesnt matter anymore my ram is incompatible with both motherboards so I have to settle for a even cheaper build I found online but really good deal thanks for the help still!

I highly recommend the FX processor because you can pretty easly overclock it and if your motherboard doesn´t support overclocking you can use AMD OverDrive program so you can there overclock it through Windows, and AMD processors are ALOT more cheaper so you can buy better parts for you pc.
