Better Digital Images

For all of you that have questions about getting better images from your digital cameras, I really suggest looking into a publication such as Outdoor Photographer, or one of the others. (I mention OP because that's the one I subscribe to).

A digital image is closer to a negative than a slide. It has the right information in it, but it can be interpreted in different ways, just like making prints from negatives. Of course, getting good information in the image file when you take it is just as important as how it's interpreted.

Current magazines such as OP have articles on getting better results from your digital camera in every issue. And you don't even really have to buy em. Cruise by your local bookstore/newsstand once a month and check out the current issues, then buy em or subscribe if it seems worthwhile. My subscription to OP is pretty doggone cheap.

I mention this because there has been more than one discussion on here about what factors make for better images from digital cameras. I'm looking at a great article right now, and keep all my past issues. I could type up some of them (hey, when I'm at work I frequently have the time, that's not the issue), but I'm not sure how much the magazine would appreciate that if I did so.

I tinker around with it in my spare time. Just thought that some people could use some better info about working with their digital pics.
