better graphics card suited for my pc

I have intel i3 3220 processer and dh61ww motherboard with 6gb ram and gt 610 graphics card. Is there a way without changing the processer,I could add gtx 970 4gb or better to improve my gaming graphics to suit for the new generation games coming up. Or (Please tell me which graphics card is better for my processer and motherboard with good gaming graphics performance at ultra settings)

You could probably run a GTX 960 with your i3. Make sure you have a good quality 400 watt or larger PSU with at least 1 6 pin PCIe connector.
