So I'm trying to build a new ryzen pc on a budget. So the cpu is a ryzen 3 1200 AF. So know I am left with a predicament, I can either get an A320m mother board and dual channel 8gb ram so no overclocking or a B450m mobo and single channel 8gb ram so yes overclocking. I read that single channel ram can reduce performance in noticable amounts and I should go for dual channel, but is it worth losing the overclock ability since the 1200af has a quite low stock clock speed? I know getting both is best and it is only like 20€ more to get both but at this time it really is not an option.

B450 chipset at the very least and DDR4-3200MHz ram kits, that's what you need to go for in terms of a Ryzen build. They will all help in improving your experience of the platform. Single channel won't be of much help but even if you want to upgrade the ram, you have the option to(though most people find out soon enough that buying a ram kit, dual channel, first is the best option and you don't need to rip your hair out).

You might want to run the specs of your proposed build by us. Please include/list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:

I am building this only to play CS:GO which is cpu reliant. So I just want to knoe what will affect raw cpu power more, single instead of dual channel ram or not overclocking it
