Better news for PCS

Sprint PCS just released some preliminary info on 1st quarter results, and
it's nice to see the improvements over last year's numbers. Below link
reports lower losses, lower churn, higher than expected quarterly
subscriptions and higher revenue per account.

That's good news... Sprint is still posting losses, but it is a start at
least of turning the ship around. It will take some time, but I am
hoping that Sprint will continue this upward trend and eventually become
a profitable company once again.

Well, they expected to be reporting a loss, a lesser loss than last year, as
they reported in their web conference a couple of months back. One thing ole
Phillipe still doesn't understand, is that SPCS had to build out their
system from scratch 8 years ago, whereas Cingular (Bell South & Pac Bell),
Verizon (formally Bell Atlantic Mobile) & ATTW, already had a hellava lead,
as they already had towers & infrastructure in place with their analog
cellular service.
