Looking for best bang for buck here. Wanting to have the focal point of answers on overall but also the better CPU as to which one to go with. Thanks!

You do realize that you had mail in rebates included with your price, right?

This is pretty close to budget without MIR.

That chart is beyond F'd up. The FX 6300 is a better chip. Recent reviews have shown the FX 6300/FX 6350 as being better than PhII. People have complaining for months that the charts need fixed, yet they stay the same. I would get a better motherboard though.

I honestly think you should get the FX-6300 as it seems better. You might wanna use the ASRock 970 motherboard though.

No Sli support

actually Im busting too far into my budget. I was trying to cap at $650 and hard cap at $700. Thought I had it figured out with the cheaper mobo. This aint looking too good for me.

How about this compared to my first fx-6300 build?

keyboard thrown in just on gp due to hard cap

That board doesn't support SLI either. Also, you want to go with 8gb in dual channel. A single 4gb chip will hurt performance. Honestly, if your budget is suffering this bad, drop the SSD. It will not improve FPS one bit. You will get faster load times and that is all. Here is something for you that comes in just slightly cheaper than what you had. I dropped the SSD and was able to go with a faster GPU and an aftermarket cooler.

Why such a huge difference in price? Would it be worthy to jump on the 140?

The 2E is a legacy product that is in low stock. They always hike the prices then because there are certain times when someone NEEDS that particular unit regardless of price (e.g stock replenishment at a repair shop where they need an array of good parts). It's better to keep a couple at high prices than sell them all for these goys. That why you'll find Core 2 Quads going for i7 money sometimes.

Performance wise they are very similar if not the same, the main difference to you is the cooler design.

GPU cooler is the same internally (as in same fan and sink) but a slightly different casing AFAIK.

There haven't actully been any reviews that pit them against each other to see major temp differences so it's probably just PowerColor running out of it's contract with the casing suppliers and taking the chance to refresh the design. Admittedly the 2E looks a little too reference for my tastes with it's squareness, and if either is cooler, it would not be this one due to the sides looking shrouded but the plastic casing from the website. The 3E is obviously open from the picture and wears the casing like a hat, the way it should be.

Would the 3e be a decent card to put in this rig or would u go with something better (within my budget) whether it be ati or nvidia? I'd love to be able to get away with the 3e but if it can't sustain stability in say, battlefield 4, cod, batman, ac4, what card should I go with then? I plan on building this within the next week or so.

Ok. That will bust over my budget. Tell me what you think about this.

There really isnt too much room to shave anything from the price without losing quality. What video card can I pop in there to give me a smooth running experience when it comes to next gen. With that mobo I will be able to add xfire/sli at some point in the future. So something strong right now Ill be able to make stronger at a lower price come next year. Budget $650 no more than $700 firm.
