I have an entry level GPU, its an Asus HD radeon 7770 2GD5 i play only at 1080p, higher resolutions are nice but i am fine with it.
Question is i want the most vale for performance i can get, now with maxwell here the upgrade will be worth it for me but id like to know how much of a difference there is between the 780ti and the 980 and if its worth the extra cash.
Base your advice solely on these specific prices, please:
980 EVGA reference is 579.99
780ti Asus DCII is 489.99 (I can only buy retail) Fry's is closest to me
which should i get so i can have the most longer lifespan so i can game on 1080p Medium-Ultra settings for the years to come.
Also i know its hard to say but i will definitely get an oculus Rift once available, that's why i consider a 980 because it has this new support and technology called VR Direct, just as a point to consider the 980.
Advice is well appreciated guys, thanks
These are my PC specs right now: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/zpam/saved/hPgnTW (Its a work in progress, peripherals will be replaced for something better soon)
