Better processor or better RAM and resolution?

Right now, I'm debating between these two laptops.

with 12 GB RAM, i5-4210 processor and 1080p resolution.

The only gaming I'd probably do is the Sims 4

Both of these would come to $499 with coupons. (I'm trying to spend max 500)

The second laptop has a cheaper protection plan.

I'm a college student who's about to start a computer science major next semester. Which would be better for programming?

If you know of any other laptops that fit y criteria (at least 6GB RAM, backlit keyboard, at least i5 processor, decent battery life, better resolution preferable), feel free to share!Right now, I'm debating between these two laptops.

The first link isn't working for me, so I can't tell the brand of that laptop. But based on the specs alone, I'd go for the second laptop. According to CPUBoss, the 4210u and 5200u processors are pretty much equal. I'm guessing the 5200 might be a little better on power usage, but probably not that much better.

Also, does the graphics card matter if I'm not a gamer? The only game I'd probably ever play on it is Sims 4.

Thanks for the working link! Even though I own a gaming laptop, I'm not a gamer at all. So I don't know how well Sims 4 would perform with the integrated graphics of either laptop. That aside, I'd still choose the second laptop because of the ram and display resolution. I do know that the 5500 integrated graphics in the 5200u processor outperforms the 4400 integrated graphics in the 4210u by 20-25%, supposedly. Hopefully someone can help with the Sims 4 question. They both may be more than adequate.
