Question Better Sound Card

Computer is HP 400--214 PC / Win 10 / 12GB RAM / 500GB SSD. I do a lot of Band In a Box and music production work. Motherboard based sound card is OK but wondering if I can install something better. Pretty low end machine so not sure if there's even a slot for anything else - forgot to look when I upgraded the RAM the other day. Thought I'd ask here before I tore it apart again.

Unfortunately, the Slimline 400-214's motherboard has no PCIE slot, so no internal sound card can be added.

Thanks - that was what I was afraid of. At least I didn't have to take it apart to find out.
