bettery lost every time when i shut down the laptop

sir my laptop is dell i core 3 when i plugged the charge its works and charging bt when i shut down the laptop the whole bettery lost my problem is serious plz reply should be given

Seems like your battery is defective. Did you try changing it out for a new one?

That's a dead battery. It's at the end of it's life. Get the model of the laptop and order a new battery for it online. They shouldn't be any more than £20 or about 30 bucks not sure about $ I'm from the UK
