Ill start by saying that nothing seems to be wrong.. I can get into Windows (7) just fine, and the system seems to be running great at this point. I did have some other codes that I was able to clear up by reseating memory, reseating a video card power cable, etc..

I just built this system last night. Specs are:

MB: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7
CPU: i7-6700K
Video Card: Asus 980Ti - Matrix
PSU: EVGA 850 G2
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z DDR4-3200 PC4-25600 (4 x 8GB) Dual channel in the matching colored ports on the M/B

So far:
- I turned off XMP in the Bios and it dropped my memory to run at 2133
- I updated the bios to the most current version

Any thoughts?

What does the manual say about the error codes?
Failing that, if it's not in your manual, Google is your friend :)

Sorry, I should have mentioned that.. I can't seem to find anything of substance online, and the manual only says 'Reserved'.

I've checked the website, yes.. and I have a ticket open with their support team, but I am waiting for a response. Was hoping to find some assistance here in case someone else had run into this.

I received my reply from Gigabyte support... Less than helpful.

Their reply when I asked what the bF fault code was, and how to resolve it: This does not have any special meaning to the code, are there any particular issue you are experiencing with the board?

Finally got an answer after a lot of back and forth with Gigabyte.

Our team had checked with the Post code manufacture and this code correspond to the thunderbolt. By default it is enable in the bios and if you are not using any thunderbolt device it will show bF. Once you disable the Thunderbolt option it will be A0 when the OS boots which correspond to IDE initialization and will stay here as the board does not have any IDE controller.
