BF1 Beta - performance thoughts?

Just had a go....seeing locked 60fps at 2560x1080, 3.6gb VRAM usage and 80% average CPU usage.

It seems that quality settings are fixed. Seems like it could be quite a demanding game.

Enjoyable though - thoughts so far?

The game is very CPU intensive seeing 80% plus on my friends 4590, which makes me wonder how AMD's FX series will hold up.

I think they will tweak things a bit for the final release making it less demanding for weaker systems at lower settings
otherwise they just won't sell enough because there aren't enough people able to play it^^

snipergod - Indeed, although I was happy to see 80% max across the cores, that was with about 40+ players I think. Graphically looks OK, not particularly amazing but the effects are very cool.

I've been playing it on high settings @ 1080p with Fx 6300 4.3 and my RX 480. Been getting at least 60 fps

I couldn't find any setting options ?? I was more surprises at vram usage!

Really? I'm not home right now to check, but was able to change all my settings. Tons of options.

Woah. Dx12, ultra, 2560x1080....60fps locked, 80% cpu usage...pretty amazing.

Those textures are stunning. Third example of dx12 that has amazed me actually.

PS - 42% is native resolution!

meh, i'm sure that my PS4 or Xbox One will be able to run this game with no issues :lol:

I really wasn't sure if I was going to be able to run the game enjoyably with my setup. Pleasantly surprised with how smooth the beta has run. Really happy about it! Hope the full game has similar/even better performance! Really having fun with the gameplay as well. First 20 minutes I headshotted a guy long range while riding horse and was so pumped. Battlefield games are awesome.

I'm sure the consoles will be fine. I'm guessing 1080p30 as has become the norm. Jmckinney- it is fun and sort of ridiculous. Horses mixed with planes and tanks lol. Can't wait for full game.

These higher end AMD gpus seem to be bossing the dx12 stuff. I'm guessing it runs well on nvidia stuff as well given all bf games usually do?
