BF3 keeps crashing for me and I do not know what to do. After about 20-40 min. the game will minimize and I can't open it back up. The internet's screen also turns white when this happens. My rig is:

GTX 570 (fermi) GPU
750W power
GA-Z68X mother board
i5-2500k CPU
8 GB memory
1920x1200

The CPU usage while playing is about 90-100% as well. Is the 2500k not good enough?

Solution
Actually,... type services.msc in the start menu (search)
and use evga precision or msi afterburner to UNDERclock your gpu..
Remember...its UNDERclocking..not OVERclocking...ok????
Lower down your clock and memory frequencies both bit by bit.
Lower them and run bf3 ...if it crashes, lower them further and try running bf3 again.....
This is a cumbersome, hectic, and a macabre task but once u get bf3 multiplayer working.......u'll be in heaven bro...!!

OK, GPU was around 70, core 0 and 1 were around 44, and core 2 was around 48. CPU usage of 80%. Is this good or bad? Please tell me I don't have to buy another $350 graphics Card.

Hi :)

Temps are fine...I think it may well be the card (white screen 🙁 ).....try and borrow another card to try....

All the best Brett :)

This is the only the only game it happens on though, and also by white screen I just mean the the internet's window. I can minimize the internet and everything will look normal. The internet turning white does not always happen as well. Usually just the videos I am playing on the internet stop working. Is there anything else it could be?

Hi :)

Ah you didn't say it was JUST the games window.... probably not the card then...

Is your BF3 up to date and this months drivers for the card ?

All the best Brett :)

YESSSS! and yes BF3 is up to date (can't run it w/ out being up to date) as well as my drivers. Well, I actually just found a new update for my GPU, but usually it's up to date and i check it often enough. This has been happening for a while, so it has crashed even when my drivers were up to date.

Edit: yup, even with the new update it still happened.

it seems that u are playing multiplayer.
Well i had the same problem and i found a fix after a ton of research..(worked for me though)
turn OFF the SSDP discovery from services(type services in search in the start menu)
then underclock your graphics card bit by bit..(like 15 MHz at a time)
then run the game..if it crashes again, means u havn't underclocked enough.
Try your luck..!!

Solution

OK, I never over or under clocked before, so just to be sure to under clock it I slide the GPU clock and memory clock sliders both back 15Mhz at a time?

yeah...slide them down (both memory and core) by 15 MHz each .
Then run the game...if it works well, then u are in the clear..
But if it crashes again, slide the clocks by 15 MHZ again..
My card nullified the crash after i lowered my clocks about 100 HZ (15 at a time..)

CAUTION : dont underclock in huge leaps(15 at a time). If your game keeps crashing even after lowering the clocks more than 150-200 mhz, then stop doing this..it may be some other prob.
Well did u turn ssdp discovery as OFF??

Well, I did what you said, and in the past 3 days no crashes yet. Thanks a ton. I have had this issue since it was released, about. Now I can finally play for real. If it happens again I will post here again letting you know, or make a new one. THANK YOU!
