BF3 Hardware Tester?

Why does this say my 6870 is below the recommended specs while a 560 (non ti) is good enough to pass the test?

Since that's what it's going by, that's why.

It doesn't make any sense though. A GTX 560 is extremely close to the HD 6870. You'll be able to run it on ultra just fine. Don't expect 60 FPS at 1920x1080 though. 😛

yeah actually a 6870 is a bit faster than a 560 in some areas too. You should be able to run it on ultra with pretty good fps

Depending on your resolution you may be able to max out BF3 if its low like 1600x900. I myself can run almost all of my games on high with an HD 7770 on that resolution.

consider this: your checking compatiblity on a geforce website ...

most likely they are looking at the 560 2gb version for ultra settings.

as far as actual performance, the 6870 sits right between the 560 and 560 ti. http://www.techspot.com/review/458-battlefield-3-performance/page4.html
