Hi i've been playing bf4 since release now and i seem to be getting low fps when playing bf4, the wierd thing is my game runs fairly smoothly even with an average of 20fps and im just wondering if it's my computer being bad or if there's something i can do to improve my fps. pc specs are Quad core AMD a10-6800k APU with Radeon HD graphics 4.10GHzz(It is dual graphics) 8gb ram

i am also struggling with BF4 working on my laptop. I should easily be able to play this game and cannot...

Processor: Intel Core i7-4700MQ @ 3.4 turbo
G card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M - 2gb Dedicated...
RAM: 16GB
O/S: Win8

I mean... wtf??

My graphics card is Radeon HD 8670D + the integrated graphics also in dual graphics

You are very optimistic if you want to run BF4 on an APU. Check if you have an pcie x16 slot. If so then buy youreself a decent GPU. like 7870 or 7850. On my second pc i run an i5 3570 2x4GB ram and an 7870. Runs very good on high settings (MSAA off) 7870 is not that bad priced or mabye r9 270x you can get them at under 200$ on newegg.com.

Unfortunately laptops would be almost out of their depth for BF4 because it requires toooo much. It would be able to DOTA 2 well or something but not BF4.

Mobile GPUs are very underpowered and not like their cousin Desktop GPUs.

You can try the lowest BF4 - and plug into your power.

As stated above, you are running off of an APU which is integrated graphics. You can do one of three things:

1) Get FAST and MORE memory if you're just going to run it on the APU. Depending on your motherboard requirement you should get the maximum allowed speed of memory (either 2133mhz or 2400mhz).
2) If you really want to see performance gains then I suggest getting a discreet / dedicated graphics card like a 7850, 7870, 7950 or 7970

Obviously getting more and faster ram is cheaper. I have seen someone run the A10 APU with 2133mhz and it looks decently smooth, however, I suggest a discreet if you're going to play BF4.

So if youre saying i just save up some money and buy one of those graphics cards that should let me run it smoothly at high/ultra graphics with a decent fps?

Not on ultra. But should put out playable FPS on high with MSAA off( my second computer with an I5, 8 gig ram and an 7870 use this settings) . Running it on ULTRA needs a lot more powerfull GPU. My main pc runs it at ULTRA with 2X MSAA but needs gtx 670 in SLI to keep above my screens refresh rate (75Hz)

and if you are considering bying a new GPU, Check that youre computer have a pcie x16 slot, and that youre power supply unit is strong enough to handle the extra watts that the GPU needs

Yes. You can definitely play on high. If you get at least a 7850 you will see a huge jump. My brother has an A10-6800k and an AMD 7850 GPU (2GB). I recommend at least a 7850 2GB as you get a wider memory bus compared to a 7790.
