BFBC2 Latest Patch Issues! Help?

Hi all,
I just bought bfbc2 for pc.. i ran the updater and it tells me i have an old version ("version 553292") and must update to the latest version "version 795745" to be able to play... i click "yes" update.. immediately it says
"could not find latest patch version.
There might be an internet connection problem or server is down.
Play the old version? YES/NO"
Ive tried downloading the patch from a million different websites and ALWAYS, half way through the download it says Unknown network error.. There is nothing wrong with my internet connection.

but i still get a "unknown network error half way through download and then it stops..

P.S i can play single player obviously just not online.. coz no servers come up
Please could someone help?

I'm not sure if it works or not, I just saved it as bookmark and haven't downloaded it yet but I have no reason to assume it wouldn't work.

Thanks man. when im finished with my current downloads ill see if it work.. the"unknown network error" could be caused be Google chrome but not 100%. trying on internet explorer now and firefox at work..
