I'm running the BFG card with a 22" monitor right now but I'm looking to move it to my 55" HD widescreen. I do like watching blu-ray movies. My question is what card would be the best to use for this and why. Also, if need to get another card (BFG or EVGA) to run in SLI to do what I want to do, which would be better. Thanks a lot, Scott. Hope that makes sense.

Go with the 9600 GT, i think it's a tad better than the 8800 as the 8800 is the older G80 arcitecture and the 9600 is G92. As well, the 9600 is PCI-E x 16 2.0, i don't think the 8800 is. Now if it were an 8800 GTS 512 meg, you'd be in better hands...

As for the SLI question, were you asking if you would need the same exact card from the same vendor as opposed to a 9600 from XFX and a 9600 from EVGA?

If so, (and i may be wrong here) then i think it just has to be the same card regardless of the brand.

Thanks for the info. the EVGA card is the 8800 GTS but only 320. Also I guess I'm wondering if the 9600 GT OC 512 will push enough for a 55" tv.? I'm not much into gaming but I do some video editing and watch blu-ray movies. I guess my Question would be, is the 9600 have what it takes to do HD on a 55" tv? If not, will adding another 9600 in SLI do the trick, or does any one have a card they would reccomend in the $100-$200 range?
PS. I am a bit of a anal A/V nut.

Well if it's not enough for you, could always look at the 1 gb 4870 around 150. But you have to remember as well, typically, a tv does not do as high of a resolution as a computer monitor can, so you may fine your 9600gt does exactly what you want.

Thanks! I'm finding out that video editing is more cpu intensive and not the gpu. I think I'll up the cpu from the E8400 to the Q9400. My system shopping list;
