BG1 tutu: Dynaheir's spell limitations

Hello,
I'm in DT meanwhile and it is getting more and more annoying that
Dynaheir can learn hardly any higher level spells. I always get the
message that due to her specialization she cannot learn this spell. That
is ok AFAIR for monster summoning and things like that but on level 4 I
found nothing but DimDoor, level 5 so far she only has cloudkill. I try
every spell I find but no way. And IIRC it wasn't like that back in the
old days of unmodded BG1.
Anything I can do?

Yes, it was - there simply *aren't* many 4th or 5th level spells
*anyway*. And all of the mages are specialists.

RCV: Don't use Invokers - they are the most crippled specialist, when it
comes to spell choices. They get the flashy big-damage spells from
Invo-Evo, but remember they are barred from Conjuration/Summoning AND
Enchantment/Charm - that's a LOT of spells they can't learn....

And you are not recalling correctly - in un-modded BG1 Invokers are
barred from the same schools as in Tutu.... no change there.

Of course, there are also just very few high level scrolls *to* scribe
in BG1 - and as an Invoker, Dynaheir is limited with respect to the one's
you do find/purchse. That's the trade off you make with an Invoker [and to
a lesser extent with all of the specialist mages...]
