Looking to buy a fairly large external drive.

I currently have a 1tb WD passport. Well she's filling up. Storing majority music, video files. Need something atleast 3-5TB. (will look at bigger if not too expensive) Looking for bang4buck but don't want some jet engine sitting in my room. What you guy's recommend? USB 3.0 is a must.

Hey there, morgilroka!

What SBMfromLA suggested as a storage solution is pretty good. However, those are WD's personal cloud suggestions.
You can store your data there and access it from anywhere wirelessly. I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for or not, that's why I'm going to suggest you to take a look at WD Green HDD: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=UtlwWV
This internal drive offers massive capacities of up to 6 TB and it's designed exactly for secondary storage solutions. Some of the WD Green features include running cool, quiet and technologies such as IntelliSeek which offers a balance of performance and power.
You can put that in a USB 3.0 external enclosure and have a cost-efficient massive external drive.

Hope that was helpful. Let me know if you have any questions! :)
