Hi. We are moving into a large new house, not wired for sound. We have a great pair of KEFF speakers and we'd like to try hard wiring them into a surround sound system for watching tv downstairs, and sometimes just listen to awesome music hard wired. Also would like to stream nice wireless (Bluetooth?) music upstairs. Don't know about the Sonos prices...a little too steep.. But maybe willing to spend a little to get really good sound (maybe up to Bose pricing?). When we have company, we would like to stream cool jazz in the main entertainment spaces upstairs, downstairs.. Do you have any suggestions for us?

Solution
To do surround sound downstairs you will need a surround sound receiver. A Denon will integrate with the Heos system which you can use upstairs.
If you want to do a wireless system Sono is the best. Not cheap but has the most developed app. Everyone else is scrambling to get to that level. There is the DTS Play system which is supported by multiple makers and the Heos system which is part of Denon/Marantz.
You could use something like this if your budget is tight

Solution
Another option for wireless audio would be using a Chromecast Audio, but it isn't nearly as refined as a Sonos system, you need to have speakers and amp, and are limited to apps that support it. Still it is quite a bit cheaper than a Sonos system.
