first i'll write my rig and then the prob.
cpu: amd fx8320
mobo : msi 990fxa-gd65 v2
ram: 8gb sniper 1600mhz
gpu: msi gtx760 2gb
psu:corsair cx600m

I bought my psu from amazon when i was on the US. When i returned to europe and build my rig i noticed that the power cable that came in the box was for the us. Then i connected the cable from my 10 year old psu, And it worked fine for about 7 months. Then one day my pc didn't want to start. When i pressed the power button the lights went red and the fans spined , or no lights at all with the fans spinning , and i couldnt restart or power off with the buttons but, i had to power it of from the switch back on the psu. Even if i let the pc run for 1 day it wouldn't start.
One day i powered it on and failed again with the red lights, then i was going to power it off from the psu switch and i did but mi finger slipped and switched back on in an interval of 0.5 sec in between , and my pc started normaly. Now since then i started my pc like that for 5 months , turn pc on and then switch off and on from the psu switch it doesen't turn off the lights just go from red to blue and load wonderfull.
I can surf the web , work on photoshop. watch movies , but whenever i start a game it turns off imedietly , the fans stop spinning just the front lights blink in blue light.
Sorry for the long story my question is does this problem come from the old cable i plugged on the new psu or it might be something else? And do you have any opinion on how i might fix it , or should i replace my psu?. And yes i tried my friends psu and my pc worked correctly.
sorry for my terrible english btw

For sizing .... take sizes from here:

For which ones.....

Overclocking madman
Seasonic X Series

Overclocking Enthusiast
Seasonic M12
EVGA G2 or P2

Moderate overclocker or gamer
Seasonic S12
EVGA B2
XFC Core Editions

That's about as far down as I like to go. There are other good series (Corsair HXi / AXi ... but ridiculously expensive) and other series (some Corsair HX / AX for example) where some models are good and some ain't.... but the above are solid thru the entire line.
