Question Big problem with fps in game after gpu upgrade

I recently bought a RTX 2070 super. I am currently running an i7 7700k @4.8ghz but my in game fps has dropped to way worse than my 1070 used to get(Destiny 2). I get pretty much the same fps no matter what settings im on, lowest possible - ultra everything. I get anywhere from 50-120 fps. I run two 144hz monitors at 1080p. I've honestly tried everything i can think of with drivers and updates but nothing changes it. Can anyone think of a reason this is happening?

Did you do a full driver uninstall first? Check you’re not running 150% res or anything too.

I did do a full uninstall and reinstall using a ddu. And render is at 100%

Well in the nvidia control panel it’ll be under resolution or super sampling. I have an AMD card so I’m not sure myself
