Big problems gtx1080

Just bought a brand new ichill gtx 1080, and all I'm getting is constant grey lined screen and flickering screen whilst gaming. I have to quickly alt-tab to get back to the desktop, otherwise I have to hard restart. My drivers are all up to date, and I've tried EVERTHING with no luck. My entire PC is brand new. My specs:
ichill gtx 1080
Asus maximus viii hero
g-skill ddr4 ram
i5 6600k
750w corsair. Please help!!!!

Soz for late reply, yeah tried that, windows 7 ultimate 64bit

Sometimes when it does this, I can hear the game sounds in the background
