Hello community, I have a basic digital TV antenna and I believe that it does not give me max reception for my area. I am interesting in knowing whether or not signal amplifiers/boosters really are effective or is it just a waste of money? Also if you believe they do help, which ones are the best and most effective for my problem?

First use tvfool.com to help you determine which antenna type you need (uhf and/or vhf) and where to aim it. It will also tell you the size of the antenna and if any amps are needed. It pretty reliable. Just keep in mind that bigger is not always bettter. too much signal can be as bad as too little. In my area all but 2 distant stations are vhf so all you need is a uhf antenna.
