Hi Everyone,

I just recently bought an E8400 and took a look at the flimsy stock cooler. I was wondering if i could recycle my Big Typhoon from an AMD 64 rig and use it on this new processor. Do you think it would cool the CPU enough to not cause any issues?

Thanks in advance,

LM

It might be enough for a cool running 45nm dual, as opposed to, say, a 65nm quad. Still, the current Intel heatsink is just pathetic. The stock cooler that comes with old P4 is twice the size.

hey hey they are not that bad...
its a tiny cooler but i got really good performance out of it using a side case fan and duct shooting directly onto the baby cooler, performed only 1 degree higher than the Zalman cnps9700 im running now!
