CPU: i5-2400 (LGA 1155)
GPU: AMD Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1GB Edition
RAM: 8GB DDR3 (4 sticks of 4GB)
HDD: 500GB (Not sure of brand)

So, I was told that any GPU older than my BIOS should work with this motherboard. But will the GTX 600 Series work with it? The last BIOS update was 1/10/2012, and the GTX 600 was released sometime in 2012. So could I put a GPU from that series on this motherboard? I was also told that anything above the AMD Radeon R7 Series/ GTX 700 Series would not work. So that's why I'm curious on the GTX 600 Series since it was released the same year as the BIOS update, but after the update itself.

Note: The HD 5770 is PCIE 2.1 and the GTX 660 is 3.0. Pretty sure the Mobo has PCIE 2.0 or 2.1

It would help to do a search and see if others with the same model Lenovo as you have had success with that video card or later ones.

Generally it should work, but OEMs (Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc) sometimes have limitations in their BIOS that won't recognize newer cards.

It SHOULD work, but might not. My son's Sandy Bridge era Dell works with the GTX 660Ti, though - so, maybe Sandy Bridge Lenovos also will?

I have found out that I have a Lenovo M91p ThinkCentre Desktop, and I have found a BIOS update for it that was released in 2014. Here's the link:
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/de/products/DESKTOPS-AND-ALL-IN-ONES/THINKCENTRE-M-SERIES-DESKTOPS/THINKCENTRE-M91P/7034/7034DD8/MJLHYTA/downloads/DS018245

I don't really know how to update BIOS, but when ever I did all of the Lenovo scans, it said that there were no updates for my system. It also says that the BIOS update I found supports up to Windows 7, but it's compatible with my M91p and I have Windows 10. So I'm not sure if this update is safe or not
