[SOLVED] BIOs Battery Discharging

The longer my computer is off, the more likely this is to happen.

The BIOs loses its configuration and must be re-configured with a saved profile. This especially happens when left shutdown overnight. Once the computer POSTs and boots, it will run flawlessly all day and usually easily reboots after only having been off for one to four hours.

Gigabyte GA-Z370XD SLI.

I've replaced the button cell battery which afforded three normal POSTs then the problem returned. I think something is preventing the external power from keeping the button cell battery from going flat or something is severely draining it.

Is this a power supply issue? Is it a MB issue?

Gigabyte has been unhelpful as the tech there thinks it has something to do with my OC.

It´s a MB issue. Try updating the BIOS to the latest version via Q-Flash menu in the BIOS

Which other hardware is installed?

Is the battery a 3 Volt one, size CR2032 and correctly installed? The "plus" has to be visible on top in the motherboard

Is the date and time getting wrong as well?

If an OC is not stable, the BIOS tries to boot, fails, resets itself and posts again. After that the settings would be factory defaulted as well. Try without the OC and have a look if this happens then too.
