Question BIOS Black Screen

Hi everyone,
When I try to access BIOS (pressing DEL key while booting), a black screen is returned, without showing neither the BIOS nor the OS (meanwhile, the computers seems "On" because of fans and rgb running).
If I don't try to access the BIOS the computer boots correctly and I can use it without any problems.

At the beginning I didn't occur in this error and was able to access the BIOS.
Nothing is changed in the system (apart from automatic Windows 10 updates) and I didn't updated the BIOS.

The only thing that is changed is the monitor; i switched from a FullHD monitor to a 1440p one (LG 17GN850)
I've read online that the problem can be related to the screen resolution (1440p vs 1080p) but I have already tried to change it back to 1080p from the display settings without any success.
I've also tried to connect the computer to the monitor with different cables (HDMI vs Displayport) and both through the integrated mobo GPU and external one (gtx 950). Still no green light.

My mobo is a MSI b500 MAG Tomahawk (the CPU is a Ryzen 3600xt if it matters).

Do you know any additional workaround I can try to access the BIOS again? Sadly I can't try to connect to the old monitor to test if that was the problem.

Thank you very much

Hmm. That's an odd one. I should try getting to my bios. I recently switched to a 1440 monitor too and haven't tried getting into it.
Try pressing & holding a key down on the keybd. Some bios will give you a stuck key error and take you to the bios.

Might it be the port on the GPU? I know on mine it's the one furthest to the right (DisplayPort) that's the default.

If you run Windows 10 you might be able to get to it from the UEFI Settings in Startups Troubleshooting section: Go to Settings> Update/Security> Recovery> click Restart now. When it restarts chose Troubleshooting> Advanced Options> UEFI Settings. I'm gong from memory here so It might be little off)

Lastly have you tried clearing the CMOS? I don't think you can save or export your bios settings first with Command Center...

I've tried all ports available on the GPU (both HDMI and DisplayPort) but nothing changed.

Regarding the Windows 10 procedure to access the BIOS it was correct but ended in a black screen as I entered it through the DEL key pressing at boot.

Regarding the last solution you suggest.. honestly I don't know what CMOS is. What am I supposed to do to clear it?

Thank you very much!
