Hi. First post. In BIOS (ver. 2903) of my motherboard ASUS A88XM-PLUS, my cursor remains in the top right corner of my screen and when I move it, it jumps straight back to the corner. The keyboard is also inoperative; no shortcut [F3 etc.] keys work, neither does the space bar or the direction keys. The keyboard is lit up and I am still able to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to get out of BIOS.
I have flashed the BIOS back to the previous version (2801) using Ai Suite III's EZ-Update, and when I F1'd into BIOS, the same problem persisted. Then I flashed back to the 2903 (latest BIOS), with again the same problem.
I need to get into bios to set up CrossfireX and set my D.O.C.P..
I've been avidly O.C.ing my P.C. since building it over Christmas; is that the problem? Have I fried my board? Quite possibly, as its the first machine I've ever tried to O.C. and I had exactly zero experience of O.C.ing until two weeks ago. Another indication of a fried board or chip is that Windows is taking time (some seconds) to bring up or fill in pop up windows, which should otherwise be almost instantaneous - I have just reinstalled Windows 10, and these problems too persist.
Here's my system:-
ASUS A88XM-PLUS Motherboard
A10 7850K R7 Graphics Microprocessor
32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro Dual Channel DDR3 2400MHz PC3-19200 DIMM (4 sticks)
MSI R9 270X Gaming G Series 2GB Twin Frozr Graphics Card (x2, but only one installed for now)
Kingston SSDNow V300 (1x120GB - O.S. drive, 1x60GB)
Corsair CW-9060016-WW Hydro Series H105 240mm Rad Extreme Performance All-In-One Liquid CPU Cooler
CiT G Force Black Case With Green LED
Does no response from the community mean I've answered my own question, i.e. I've fried my board or chip or both? And if I'm stupid enough to do that, what's the point of giving advice to an idiot who can't follow simple instructions? Just confirmation from one charitable soul would be enough for me, something along the lines of "Yep. Your goose is cooked." would do.
In case someone happens upon this thread with the same system and needs help O.C.ing, here's what I did to get good performance:
1. Ai Overclock Tuner set to 'manual'
2. APU Frequency set to 105MHz
3. Memory Frequency set to 2261MHz
4. APU Multiplier set to 42
