Question Bios can't be restored to defaults

As the title says, I tried updating bios but I don't have acces to the password so I tried removing the CMOS battery from an HP 8470p Laptop, left it out 10 minutes and kept pressing ocassionaly power button to drain the current. After I restarted it prompted same message that it requires password. I heard that old laptops store bios information on the chip so it doesn't work by removing the cmos.

If you don't have the password to access the BIOS on your laptop, we can't help you working around that security feature. It's one of the rules stated in the Rules of Conduct and our Terms of Services.
