I'm going to upgrade my BIOS (why did my A8N-SLI ship with 1001 :-() to
1008.
It says the checksum of the new BIOS is 2F368 but is that correct?
I can't find the right checksum anywhere :-(

I upgraded the BIOS but the new one gave a chassis fan warning AND it
did not update two bars (it didn't fail the write but I am worried).
The example on the asus website shows the same thing but it doesn't say
that is ok.

Often bootblock is not updated during a flash. That is fine in case of a
badflash. If bootblock is intact, it is possible to recover easily.
